How to start?

  • On the web - distrosea
  • Virtual Machine
  • Livedistro (USB)
  • Installed (single or dual-boot)
  • Windows Subsystem for Linux

Let's do it!

  1. Download a linux copy (iso file) ๐Ÿ’ฟ

Virtual Machines

  1. Download a Virtual Machine software (VirtualBox, QEMU, VMWare)
  2. Load the iso file :cd:
  3. Decide how much resources you want to give (disk size, RAM)
  4. Follow the installation instructions

Live Distro

  1. Download ventoy
  2. Install ventoy into a blank USB pendrive
  3. Copy the iso file ๐Ÿ’ฟ in ventoy's USB pendrive
  4. Restart the computer with the USB in
  5. Press F10, F1, F2, enter, … to choose to boot from the USB
  6. Enjoy

Installed

  • make a backup of your system
  • Follow the install menu
  • Decide how to partition the disk
  • Reboot after the installation has finished
  • Select linux from the menu
  • Enjoy
